The application platform opens on Good Monday 6 April
to apply for the Fuel Pass, which will remain available until April 30.
The measure concerns financial assistance for the months of April and May, as provided for in the ministerial decision published in the Government Gazette.
The beneficiaries of the Fuel Pass
The beneficiaries of the benefit are natural persons, including freelancers, who are tax residents of Greece. The condition is that the declared family income for 2024 does not exceed 25,000 euros for unmarried persons and 35,000 euros for married persons or parties to a civil partnership. These limits are increased by 5,000 euros for each dependent child, while for single-parent families the limit is set at 39,000 euros, with a corresponding increase per child.
The amount of the aid
The amount of aid varies depending on the area of residence and the method of payment. For vehicle owners in island and remote areas, the amount is €60 via digital card or €50 via bank account. In the rest of Greece, the corresponding amounts are €50 and €40. For motorcycle owners, the aid ranges from €35 to €30 in special areas and from €30 to €25 in the rest of the country, depending on the payment method.
It is noted that each vehicle can be declared by only one natural person who has full ownership, co-ownership or is a lessee through a leasing agreement.
The application process
The application is submitted online via the vouchers.gov. platform, using personal Taxisnet codes. Beneficiaries are asked to confirm or update their details and to indicate their bank account if they wish to make a direct deposit. Alternatively, they can opt for a digital debit card, which will be credited with the aid amount.
The system automatically draws the necessary data such as income data, vehicle insurance and payment of road tax. The process can also be completed through a CCP, either by physical presence or by authorization.
The payment of the aid is made within two working days of the approval of the application. The amount credited to the digital card can be used not only for fuel, but also for travel by public transport, taxi and rail, and the card will remain active until 31 July 2026.
