Two foreign traffickers who were pushing illegal immigrants inside the country, in two different cases, were arrested by police officers in areas of Kavala and Evros.
According to an announcement by the General Regional Police Directorate of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, in the first case, at noon on Saturday, in a settlement of Kavala, police officers of the Police Directorate of Drama arrested one of the traffickers because he was driving a car in the direction of the town of Drama.X.F. vehicle (trailer after trailer), illegally transported seven illegal immigrants to the mainland.
In the second case, today in the early morning hours on the Ardani – Ormenio highway, police officers of the Didymoteicho Border Guard Department of the Orestiada Police Directorate arrested the second trafficker, because they found him driving I.X.E. car and illegally transporting six illegal immigrants inside the country.
The above vehicles and mobile phones were seized.
The arrested persons will be taken to the competent prosecutors, while the preliminary investigation of the two cases is being carried out by the Border Guard Departments of Paranesti and Didymoteicho.
