Hrysa Ropa gave a rare television interview and talked about unknown aspects of herself.
The acclaimed Greek actress was a guest on Saturday (04.04.2026) as a guest on the show “Smile Again” and talked about everything to Sissy Christidou and Nikos Syrigo. Indeed, towards the end of her interview Chrysa Ropa was moved and burst into tears.
“Tenderness is missing from the world, because the ego is uncontrollable. People have always had that. The antidote is a little bit of hearing that there is an ego, that you have it too. As knowledge to hear it. The world is changing. We are a minority, but we exist,” Chrysa Ropa said at first.
At the same time, she commented on current political news, noting: “I am not optimistic about the new parties that are being created. I am not negative about Maria Karystianou running with a new party. For me, she is a mother who lost her child. I consider that the highest evil that can happen to a human being. If I lose my child I don’t want anything, I can’t, my life would have no meaning.”
“I think power is a soul-crushing thing for those who enter the game. To me, politics is a grey thing. You have to be from another planet, in my opinion. If you are sensitive, you don’t go into politics,” Chrysa Ropa added.
“I was not afraid if I am sued for the satire I do. What could they do? I don’t have anything. Will they put me in jail next? But they don’t realize they’re causing it. They do character assassination with great ease, but it’s not called satire, it’s called politics. They give it to you and you take it away, isn’t that satire?” he further clarified.
Then, Chrysa Ropa confessed that there is also a child inside her who hasn’t gotten the love she would have liked.
“I don’t call myself a giver. I left my own “pot” unfed for a long time and in the chuck always saved it, because I wanted to save it, I watered it. Lina Nikolakopoulou has written a song, the meaning of which is that along with me lives a little child who was not loved,” said Chrysa Ropa.
“The song you’re talking about, however, is “The Baby”,” Nikos Syrigos replied, and the song in question began to be played on the set. Then Chrysa Ropa burst into tears and Sissy Christidou approached her and gave her a warm hug.
