Daphne Karavokiri spoke exclusively to “Super Katerina” and referred to the violence she has received from women in the work environment, but also how she felt about the collaboration between Constantara and Papila in the special broadcast for Marinella’s funeral.
“I didn’t grow up with the vision and dream of walking down the steps of the church either. Mommy, I’d like to see me. I have flirted with that idea many times. Both of them, that is, both the white wedding dress and the bebe. I hope God will bless me. I will not be defined by the coming of a child, nor will I find my identity through it. It is something I would like to come into my life. I want to open, when I say something, I mean this chapter, I would like to open this chapter, because I have a lot of love to give,” Daphne Karavokiri confesses.
As Real View responds: “This show allowed me to see myself in a very different context, one I hadn’t imagined myself in. And so there, dear ones, I realized how difficult it is to speak your mind openly. Do you walk a very fine line between being offended? Being sharp? Getting all wrinkled? Eat a cancan from here to the moon? So it was a minefield that I was and still am very interested in.”
“It is true that women among us are too strict. We are critical. We create psychologically in each other. I have lived it and I am the first to say that the most violence I have received in my life is from women,” Daphne Karavokiri admits immediately afterwards and reveals:
“In my first jobs, my first manager used to spit chocolates into my hand so that I could go and throw them into the trash bin. And I was only 21 years old. So if I hadn’t had the upbringing from home to be able to handle that situation, I think I would have been devastated.”
“At first I said – and many people thought it was, shall we say, hubris – that I didn’t care about the numbers. When I said it, I said it because I do not want to allow myself to be influenced by numbers. I try to close my ears, not my eyes, my ears to the numbers, because they are sirens. Especially when you’re still on a show. And I stay there. The numbers belong to the network and the managers who make those decisions. Beyond that, I sign for my presence,” Daphne Karavokiri points out elsewhere.
Finally, regarding the special broadcast of Konstantara-Papila for the coverage of Marinella’s funeral, Daphne Karavokiri commented: “I liked them very much. Lambros is a man who has proven that he can stand anywhere. On the other hand, I think Elina clicked very nicely with Lambros. And if this was in the form of a test, I think in the future, in a TV product, they would click a lot with each other.”
