METKA announces the signing of a contract for the implementation of an iconic development, hospitality and entertainment project – Project VORIA – in Maroussi, including the construction of a 5-star hotel, casino, event and catering facilities, as well as extensive public spaces and infrastructure.

The contract was signed between METKA ATE and NORTH STAR PSYCHAGOGIKI AND TOURISTIKI S.A. (“NORTH STAR ENTERTAINMENT S.A.”), while, at the same time, a blessing ceremony was held at the project site, in the presence of the CEO and Vice President of METKA, Mr. Dinos Benroubis, the CEO of North Star Entertainment, Mr. Yannis Tsirikos and one of the main shareholders of North Star, Mr.Mr. Thanasis Laskaridis and Mr. Konstantinos Kokkalis and Ms. Iros Hadjigeogiou, Managing Director of the EBRD.

It is noted that METKA had already undertaken and implemented the preliminary works of the project, confirming its readiness and technical competence for the smooth progress of the construction.

The project involves the development of an integrated complex with a total investment of €380 million, which includes:

  1. A 5-star hotel with a capacity of 300 beds
  2. The relocation of the Parnitha Casino
  3. Two (2) underground parking spaces
  5. Spa rooms, swimming pools and restaurants
  6. Extensive landscaping

The total construction area is 77,000 sq.m. (including underground spaces and facilities) and the total area of the land plot is 25,000 sq.m. At the same time, the project includes the construction of important traffic infrastructure to solve the chronic problems at the junction of Kifissia Avenue and Spyrou Louis Avenue, as well as the creation of green areas and public spaces of a total area of 25,000 sq.m. that will be granted to the Municipality of Maroussi.

The duration of the project is set at 24 months.

METKA has significant experience in the implementation of high demanding projects in the tourism and residential sector, having successfully completed, among others, the “Asteria Glyfada” and “Hotel Olympos Naoussa” projects. At the same time, it is expected to immediately deliver the IKOS KISSAMOS project in Kissamos, Chania, a 5-star hotel complex with a capacity of 1,280 beds.
