Today, Great Wednesday, a shocking tragedy occurred in Thessaloniki, in the area of Vardari, as a 59-year-old woman fell from the balcony and was killed.
According to information from Radio Thessaloniki, at about 16:55 in the afternoon, a 59-year-old woman fell from a third-floor balcony of an apartment building on Irini Street, in Vardari.
Emergency services arrived immediately at the scene, with a rapid intervention machine and a mobile unit.
Unfortunately, they were unable to save her and the woman succumbed to her serious injuries. It is not yet known how and why she fell from the balcony.
