Russia carried out attacks on the front line in violation of a three-day ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced today.
For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry accused Ukraine of “16,071 violations” in the past 24 hours, including thousands of drone strikes.
“The Russians are continuing their offensive operations in strategic areas for them,” Zelensky said in his evening speech, however, clarifying that no “large-scale” airstrikes had taken place today.
“On the front line, the Russian military does not respect the ceasefire and does not even try to respect it,”
US President Donald Trump had announced on Friday night a three-day ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia starting yesterday, Saturday.
Ukrainian Air Force data shows a decrease in long-range drone attacks since the start of the ceasefire, but authorities said at least nine people were injured.
The administration of the southeastern Ukrainian region of Dnipropetrovsk said a 3-year-old child was wounded in a drone attack in the Sinelnikove district and is being treated in “stable condition”.
In the same region, in the Nikopol district, a 23-year-old rescuer was also injured this morning when a Russian drone attacked his vehicle, according to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.
Four people were wounded in the southern region of Kherson, according to local authorities, including a 19-year-old and a 53-year-old municipal employee.
In the neighboring southern region of Mikolaiv, authorities also said the Russian military attacked a civilian vehicle with a drone, wounding a 68-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman.
A 52-year-old man was also wounded in the southern region of Zaporizhzhya in an attack by a Russian drone, according to the regional administration.
