Russian President Vladimir Putin today announced a ceasefire for Easter celebrations, which will take effect from 4pm on Holy Saturday and last throughout Easter Sunday.
“In view of the celebration of Orthodox Easter, a ceasefire is declared from 16:00 on April 11 until the end of April 12,” the Kremlin statement said.
The Kremlin says it believes that the Ukrainian side will follow Moscow’s example of observing an Easter ceasefire.
