Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with hundreds of drones and three ballistic missiles, targeting port infrastructure in the south and causing the death of one woman and the injury of at least seven people, Ukrainian officials said.
Russia has launched 324 drones as of 18:00 (local and Greek time) yesterday (Tuesday afternoon) as well as three ballistic missiles, the Ukrainian Air Force said.
The anti-aircraft defense shot down or neutralized 309 drones, but the missiles and the remaining drones fell in nine areas, the same source added.
Three people were wounded in the Russian attack on the city of Dnipro in southeastern Ukraine, regional governor Oleksandr Ganja told Telegram.
Ganja added that the attack damaged a nine-story residential building and a government building.
This new Russian attack was launched after a missile strike on Dnipro yesterday killed five people and wounded nearly 30.
In addition, four people were wounded in a drone attack in Cherkassy city overnight, according to regional governor Ihor Taburets.
One woman was killed in the town of Zaporizhzhya early this morning, the governor of the province of the same name, Ivan Fedorov, noted.
Fedorov noted on Telegram that a 74-year-old saleswoman was killed, while a car park, businesses and nearby residential buildings were damaged in the attack.
In Odessa, the city’s port was targeted by a drone attack, said the province’s governor Oleh Kipper, who cited damage to government buildings and warehouses.
Officials in Kiev province also reported a drone attack.
