Russia’s new massive airstrike in Ukraine today claimed the lives of at least ten people, according to Kiev, which says it is “escalating.”

“About 500 drones and missiles” were fired by Russia today, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Shibiha said in a post on the X platform.

The strikes killed one man in Butchia, near Kiev, another in Kherson, three in the Shumi region, one in Zhitomir and two in Kharkiv, the large city near the eastern front.

In Kramatorsk, another large city near the front line, “at noon the Russians launched five bombs”, killing at least two people and wounding three, regional military commander Vadim Filashkin said.

At the same time, electricity was cut off in many areas because of the bombing. According to Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, these outages mainly affect Kiev, Cherkassy and Zhitomir.
