The United Arab Emirates’ anti-aircraft defences were activated again tonight to intercept missiles, after Iran threatened to target energy facilities in Gulf countries in retaliation for Israeli-American strikes on its territory.
“The air defence is currently facing missile and drone threats originating from Iran,” the Defence Ministry said, clarifying that “the noise heard is the result of intercepting missiles and drones”.
Saudi Arabia said four people were injured by shrapnel in Riyadh after a missile was intercepted.
