The United States will withdraw from Iran “fairly quickly” but could return if necessary for “targeted strikes,” US President Donald Trump told Reuters, hours before his scheduled address tomorrow, Thursday, at dawn GMT.

“There are still a few targets left. If necessary, we will come back for targeted strikes,” he said.

Trump reiterated that in this speech, in a prime time for the US, he will express his displeasure with NATO and say he is considering withdrawing the country from the alliance.

“We have had complete regime change” in Iran, he also asserted, reiterating that Tehran will not acquire nuclear weapons, nor does it want to.

Referring to Iran’s nuclear material, he said the US is not interested in it and will monitor it via satellites.
