US armed forces will retain their elements deployed near Iran until a “real deal” is fully implemented, he asserted late Wednesday night (local time- just before 07:00 GMT) by US President Donald Trump, the day after the announcement that a ceasefire agreement had been reached between the US and the Islamic Republic after 39 days of war.

“All naval vessels, aircraft and military personnel, with additional ammunition, weapons and anything else deemed appropriate and necessary for the lethal pursuit and destruction of an already substantially weakened enemy will remain on the ground in and around Iran, until a fully true agreement is reached and implemented,” the Republican said via Truth Social, typing the last two words of that sentence in all caps. Otherwise, the firing will resume, “bigger and better and more powerful than anyone has ever seen,” he threatened.

In anticipation, “our great army is refueling with ammunition and resting and looking ahead (….) its next conquest,” Donald Trump continued, adding “America is back!”
