The death toll in the collision yesterday Monday night (local time) of two train sets near the Indonesian capital Jakarta grew even heavier, reaching 14 dead, public railway operator KAI said today.
“According to the latest data (…) 14 deaths have been confirmed,” the company said, specifying that 84 other people were evacuated and admitted to hospitals.
It is not yet clear whether two passengers on one of the trains who remained trapped in the carcass could be recovered alive.
