A Greek-flagged ship of Greek interest was struck 15 nautical miles northwest of the coast of Oman.
According to a statement from the UK Maritime Transport Safety Office (UKMTO), the captain of the container ship said a Revolutionary Guards speedboat opened fire causing “serious damage” to the bridge without prior warning by radio.
The UKMTO says there was no fire on board the ship and all crew members are unharmed.
