The major operation of the Heraklion Crime Investigation and Detection Sub-Directorate to dismantle a large ring allegedly involved in drug trafficking and other illegal activities in Crete has been completed.
According to information from police sources, the investigations, which were supervised by the Narcotics Department of this service, focused on three families mainly in the area of Zonians, Heraklion and Agios Nikolaos.
The same sources said 16 people have been arrested so far while a total of 77 people are included in the massive case file.
