Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed that US President Donald Trump’s statement on Iran’s request for a ceasefire is false and baseless, Iranian state television reported today.
“Trump’s statements on Iran’s request for a ceasefire are false and baseless,” said Esmail Baghaei.
In a post earlier on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump said Iran’s new leader had just asked the US for a ceasefire in the war that began on February 28.
“The new President of the Iranian regime, far less radicalized and far smarter than his predecessors, has just asked the United States of America for a Truce! We will consider when the Strait of Hormuz will be open, free and clear. Until then, we bomb Iran into oblivion or, as they say, we will return it to the Stone Age!!!” wrote Trump in his post.
