Strait of Hormuz: the European Union rejects any idea of introducing transit fees

The European Union rejects the idea of “tolls” for crossing the Strait of Hormuz, where freedom of navigation must be maintained, a European Commission spokesman said.

“International law guarantees freedom of navigation, which means what it means: no payment, no tolls, under any circumstances,” said Anwar El Anouni.
