At least two ships originating from Iranian ports crossed the Strait of Hormuz today, despite the blockade of Iranian ports by US military forces, according to Kpler, a shipping data logging company that owns the website Marine Traffic.
The Liberian-flagged bulk carrier Christianna crossed the Straits after loading corn at the Iranian port of Bandar Imam Khomeini and passing through the Iranian island of Larak, dubbed the “Iranian tollgate”, after the US blockade was imposed.
The second ship to cross the Strait after the blockade was implemented was the Comoros-flagged tanker Elpis.
