Russia today called on Israel and the US to stop their attacks on Iran and come to the negotiating table.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described the humanitarian situation in the region as extremely difficult and commented that the escalation of the conflict is of grave concern.
“Russia will continue to take steps towards ending the escalation in the Middle East as soon as possible and resolving any disputes by peaceful means. The number of victims of Washington and Tel Aviv’s illegal military action among civilians in Iran, according to the authorities, is in the thousands,” Zakharova commented to reporters.
