Six people have been found dead and one missing after a helicopter crash, Qatar’s Interior Ministry said.
In a post on X, the ministry said “search and rescue operations” in Qatar’s territorial waters had led to the identification of six occupants out of seven on board the helicopter.
The search for the missing man is continuing, according to the same source.
Qatar’s Defence Ministry had earlier said a helicopter went down at sea due to a “technical failure” during a “routine flight”, without specifying the type of helicopter or the nature of its mission.
