Olympiacos and PAOK played a 1-1 draw at “Georgios Karaiskakis”, in the fourth round of the Stoiximan Super League playoffs.

The result, combined with AEK’s win over Panathinaikos, mathematically handed the championship to the Union with two rounds to go.

PAKOK are now second in the standings with 62 points, leapfrogging Olympiacos, who trail in third with the same tally.

The Reds opened the scoring in the 61st minute, when Rodinay took advantage of Esse’s cross and headed past Pavlenka.

PAKO’s reply came in the 69th minute, when Konstantellia scored from close range after Bamba’s cross inside the area.

Olympiacos was in control for most of the game and created several chances, especially in the first half, but Pavlenka made important saves keeping PAOK in the game.

There was no shortage of tension in the closing stages, with referee Munuera initially indicating a penalty in PAOK’s favour for a handball by Retsos, before changing his decision after VAR intervention.

Olympiacos will host Panathinaikos next week, while PAOK will face AEK in Toumba.
