Olympiacos defeated Aris Betsson 92-81 for the 25th day of the Stoiximan GBL, turning up the heat in the second half and scoring a total of six double-digit points.

Aris came into the game stronger, limited Olympiacos and found solutions on the offensive end, even catching a 12-point lead (11-23). Noah and Poulianitis led the way for the Thessaloniki team at the start, with Milicicic’s team taking advantage of their good shooting from the perimeter, as well as their good defensive play. Nilikina’s three-pointers gave the Reds a lift in the first quarter before Nikola Milutinov took over.

The Serbian center dominated under the basket, touching a double-double in the first half (10 points, 9 rebounds) and Tyler Dorsey provided solutions from the perimeter with his shooting. The Piraeus team’s play improved in the second quarter, Aris didn’t get close to the basket as easily and somehow the game evened out. First half score 40-40.

Tyler Dorsey’s threes in the third quarter brought Olympiacos to +10 (57-47), but an 8-0 run by Aris in 24″ put Aris right back in the game (57-55 at 26′). Bartzokas’ team stepped on the gas again at that point. They went on a 10-0 run and brought the lead back to double digits (67-55), improving their percentage from behind the three-point line. Third-quarter score 71-58.

Olympiacos continued at the same pace, Aris failed to become a contender in the game, with the difference even slipping to the edge of 20 points. Giorgos Bartzokas’ team eventually cruised to a comfortable victory, turning up the heat where it was needed. The final score was 92-81.
