Nikos Moutsinas spoke about his new TV step and the presentation of the game show “Lingo” in his statements to the cameras of the entertainment shows, expressing his enthusiasm for his return, but also his attitude towards criticism.
“I took my time, that’s true. And this time I chose what I wanted to do,” the presenter initially said.
When asked if he was ready to take positive and negative criticism with the premiere of “Lingo”, Nikos Moutsinas replied, “Oh, you always ask me a question that I will give an answer to and then everyone will start saying the short and the long and the boredom is in huge letters. Despite what you did, I don’t care about the opinion from all the people. I’m concerned with people’s opinion at the same time, so I choose. Now I don’t want to take any criticism. How can I say? I don’t want them to not care, kiddo. I’ve been asking for a long time but I see one, two, three… you don’t listen. I don’t want to, I’m fine with it. I guess they’ll have their say. Yeah, OK, but it’s none of my business.”
And he added: “I’m going to go do my job. I’m interested in making sure the bosses I work for are happy, the colleagues that we’re there, that we’re happy and that people have a good time.”
Referring to the auditions held before the final decision on the game show host was made, he revealed that a lot of people went through the process. “I went through a trial too, a lot of people went through. I went to do my own and I left. I didn’t ask who passed and who didn’t,” he said.
He even said he didn’t even know who else was in the process, explaining that he didn’t want to put extra stress on himself. “I didn’t know. I went, did what I had to do and left,” he concluded.
