Israeli armed forces bombed railways and bridges in Iran today, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced, claiming the attacks targeted infrastructure used by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

“Yesterday, our pilots destroyed transport planes and dozens of helicopters at an Iranian military base. Today, they struck railway lines and bridges used by the IRGC,” Netanyahu said in a video message.

“We are crushing the terrorist regime in Iran. But we are doing this more and more forcefully and with increasing force,” he added.

Israeli security officials told the Times of Israel newspaper that the Israeli Air Force bombed some 10 “key” railway stations and bridges in Iran as part of efforts to prevent the Revolutionary Guards from moving weapons systems.
