The 25-year-old Roma woman and the 27-year-old Pakistani man were found to be in custody with the agreement of the investigator and the prosecutor today, Saturday, for attempted murder and dangerous bodily harm to the three-year-old girl who is still hospitalized in the Pagni Children’s ICU.
The two defendants failed to provide satisfactory explanations for the manner and circumstances under which the three-year-old girl was hospitalized gravely injured and after their apologies they headed to jail.
The child has been intubated but continues to be treated in the ICU of the Pagni hospital, with his siblings being accommodated at the Chania hospital.
