The Prime Minister’s speech

.
In his speech, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that “citizens, regardless of their ideologies, recognize the great digital leap that has been made in our country, greater than what other countries in the EU have done.”

He also stressed that “we have proved that with the use of technology the state can change substantially.
Technology as applied has an ideological face, treats citizens equally, allows citizens of isolated areas to be served.
Behind every inconvenience to the citizen may lie a hotbed of corruption. As the state becomes both more impersonal and friendlier, this is changing. Technology as applied has an ideological bias. It gives opportunities to all citizens. Technology is an opportunity for Greece not to catch up with the rest of Europe but to take the lead. We proved it, for example, with the vaccination certificate during the pandemic period,” Kyriakos Mitsotakis said.

.
During his speech, the Prime Minister also stressed that elections will be held in 2027.

.
Previous speakers included the Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, Dimitris Papastergiou, the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, and the Deputy Minister of National Economy, Nikos Papathanasis, the Minister of State, Akis Skertsos, and the Minister of Interior, Theodoros Livanios.
