Stating that each case is to be examined separately, government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis commented on the new OPEKEPE file of the European prosecutor’s office.
More specifically, the file was sent to the Supreme Court asking for the lifting of the immunity of 11 MPs, while there is a report of involvement of a former minister of rural development and a former deputy minister.
“Today’s announcement by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office is a serious development.
We expect the transmission of the case file to the Greek Parliament, in order to make an assessment of each case individually,” Pavlos Marinakis said in his statement.
