The need for Hezbollah to stop its military actions from Lebanon against Israel, which he called “a big mistake”, as well as the need for Israel not to carry out “a ground attack on Lebanon”, French President Emmanuel Macron underlined in a post on the social network X, shortly after his telephone conversation late last night with his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun. The French President also said he spoke with his Syrian counterpart Ahmad al-Saraa, whom he assured that he “supports the efforts of the Lebanese authorities to restore full state control on their territory”. The presidents of Lebanon and Syria agreed on Tuesday to strengthen controls on their shared border.
