Kuwait’s air defences intercepted “hostile” missiles and drones, the military said today, with the emirate blaming the attacks on Iran.
“All the explosion sounds are the result of the air defence systems intercepting these enemy attacks,” the army said in a post on X.
Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry later said in a statement that it “holds Iran fully responsible for these heinous attacks.”
The Revolutionary Guards said today that they targeted a base used by the US military for attacks against its territory, without naming the country where the base is located.
The official KUNA news agency reported that sirens were sounding across the Gulf country, despite a ceasefire in place between the US and Iran.
On Thursday, Kuwait reported a similar attack that it later attributed to Iran, with the Revolutionary Guards stressing that they targeted a US base in retaliation for new US attacks on Iranian territory.
