This year’s Super League 2 Super Cup was held at OAKA yesterday (28.03.2026), with Kalamata beating Hercules 1-0 to lift the trophy. Fans of both teams were at the Olympic Stadium, and intensive checks were made when entering the stands.
According to a statement from the police, three men were arrested for trying to pass smoke bombs, while a woman was also arrested for possession of a small amount of drugs.

“Three arrests were made during the controls in the context of a football match on Saturday night 28-3-2026 at the O.A.K.A. stadium in Maroussi.
In the context of a football match on Saturday 28-3-2026 at the “O.A.K.A.” stadium in Maroussi. in Maroussi, intensive controls were carried out by the police officers assigned for the smooth conduct of the match and prevention of sports violence, during which -3- persons, aged 43, 41 and 35 years old, were arrested.
From the Sub-Directorate for the Prosecution and Detection of Crimes of Northeast Attica/D.D.E.E.A./G.A.D.A. and the Police Department of O.A.K.A./D.A.B.A./G.A.D.A., were formed against them for – in some cases – violation of the legislation on addictive substances, on flares and fireworks and dealing with violence in sports venues.
Specifically, during body checks carried out outside the gates before the start of the match, a 35-year-old woman was found to be in possession of a small amount of drugs.
At the same time, the 41-year-old and the 35-year-old were found in possession of -2- smoke grenades.
The case file was submitted to the competent prosecutor.”
