The Israeli army is planning at least three more weeks of military campaign against Iran, with “thousands of targets” remaining, Israeli army spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin told CNN today.
“We have thousands of targets ahead of us,”Defrin said. “We are ready, in coordination with our American allies, with plans at least until the Jewish Passover, which is about three weeks from today. And we have deeper plans for even three weeks after that,” he added.
The Israel Defense Forces stressed that Israel’s air force has carried out more than 400 waves of attacks since the US-Israel war against Iran began on February 28, targeting, according to the Israeli military, mostly Iranian infrastructure.
An Israeli army spokesman told CNN that the Israeli military is “not working on a timer or on a schedule basis, but to achieve our goals.” The goal is to seriously weaken the Iranian regime, the brigadier general noted.
Referring to the new hostilities in southern Lebanon, Defrin said Hezbollah had decided to stay out of the 12-day war in June last year but is now involved.
“Tin June, they understood it was a limited campaign in Iran, so they did not attack. Now that everything is clear, they were involved,” the Israeli military spokesman added.
