The resumption of war with the US is “inevitable”, a senior Iranian military official assessed today, just as talks between Tehran and Washington appear to have reached an impasse.
“The US demands our full surrender and the Iranian nation will never surrender,” Mohammad Jafar Asadi, deputy chief of the Iranian Armed Forces General Command Staff, Hatam al-Anbiya, said.
“Without surrender, war is inevitable. So we wait and war does not scare us,” Assadi added.
