A series of powerful explosions at short intervals rocked Tehran today, according to AFP reporters in Iran, on the 14th day of the US-Israel war with Iran.
These explosions, of rare intensity, which occurred around 10:00 local time (around 08:30 local time) shook the apartments of two AFP journalists located kilometres apart in the northern and central parts of Tehran.
At this time, the targets of the strikes are not known. An AFP reporter saw two clouds of black smoke rising in the sky from the eastern and northern parts of the Iranian capital, despite limited visibility due to rainy weather in Tehran.
The Israeli military announced at the same time today around 09:00 GMT that it had launched a new wave of widespread strikes in Tehran.
The Israeli forces “launched an extensive wave of strikes targeting the Iranian terrorist regime’s infrastructure across Tehran,” a brief statement from the Israeli armed forces said.
