Iran’s airspace was partially opened this morning and international flights were allowed again over the eastern part of the country, the Civil Aviation Authority said, Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported.
“Air corridors in the eastern part of the country are open for international flights” and many airports reopened at 7:00 a.m. (6:30 a.m. GMT), the service said, citing NOTAMs to pilots worldwide, a move that comes as part of a ceasefire in the Middle East war.
According to the aircraft tracking website FlightRadar24, just before 10:00 a.m. GMT, no aircraft were still flying over Iran, which closed its airspace on Feb. 28, the day the Israeli-American war against the Islamic Republic began.
