The Revolutionary Guards, the Islamic Republic’s ideological army, confirmed today that the strategic Strait of Hormuz will remain closed to the country’s “enemies” after Donald Trump said he would not consider implementing a ceasefire until the strait reopens.
“The situation in the Strait of Hormuz is fully under the control of the Guardian naval forces and this strait will not be opened to the enemies of this nation despite the ridiculous attitude of the American president,” they warned in a press release broadcast on state television.
