Angeliki Iliadi made statements on the show “Rendezvous in the weekend”, after the furore caused by her recent confession about the abuse she suffered at the hands of Bambi Lazaridis.
The famous singer was met by OREN reporter Sarantis Marietis, with her expressing her gratitude to all those who supported her, following this brave public admission.
“I want to say a huge thank you, I have received incredible love from women, they have sent me hundreds of messages. I gave an interview with all my heart and soul, I see we have a unity as women and that to me is very important. A huge thank you also to Elina Papila and my colleagues who have sent me personal messages, telling me ‘we all knew, it was a common secret’,” Angeliki Iliadi said initially.
“All this for me is a great relief and a great vindication. I want to do something for abused women, a structure or something to support all these women. I’ve been shocked by the messages and the stories I’ve read,” the singer says.
“I don’t have anything else to respond to. We’re growing up. 20 years ago it was another Angelica, now another Angelica here in front of you who knows how to deal with everything and doesn’t get stuck anywhere. The most important thing for me is that my child told me that she is proud of me. That’s where it all ends,” Angeliki Iliadi concludes.
