Explosions were heard in the Jerusalem skies Thursday night into Friday, after the Israeli military announced new rocket barrages fired by Iran and triggered alarm sirens in the city, French Agency correspondents reported.

The Israeli military has referred to three rocket homers in recent hours, with the most recent just before midnight (local and Greek time) and another about 10 minutes before 03:00.

Magen David Adom (“Red Star of David”, the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross and Red Crescent) did not report any casualties. Israeli police reported damage at several locations.

Shrapnel fell in the city of Haifa and at an educational institution in a suburb, according to Israeli media. No casualties were reported.

The new volleys were fired hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference assuring that Iran is “decimating” and “no longer has the ability to produce ballistic missiles.”
