Significant success for Maria Prevolaraki, who won the silver medal at the European Wrestling Championships held in Tirana.
The Greek champion competed in the final of the 53kg category against Yefremova of Ukraine, suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat and finishing second.
The medal is Prevolaraki’s 10th at the European level and sixth in a row, confirming her stability at the top of the continent. It is worth noting that in 2025, she had won the gold medal for the first time at the event.
In the international arena, the great athlete has also won three World Championships and one World Cup medal, continuing to make history for Greek wrestling.
