DISY

In her final pre-election message, the President of the Democratic Rally, Anita Demetriou, sent political messages for the next day of Cyprus, saying that “we want a Parliament with the best representatives and the most worthy people in order to have a safe country and an economy that can support every single person”.

He noted that despite the political disagreements that may exist, there is a common goal that unites society and that is “a safe country and a stable economy that can support virtually every person in need.”

Addressing citizens who are wary of political parties, she said she understood the anxieties, frustration and fatigue they feel and added that she fully respected the fact that trust is not easily given. However, he noted that the stakes of the next day are crucial, as the new Parliament will be called upon to take decisions in an uncertain international and political environment.

Making special reference to young people, families and every citizen who deserves to look to the next day with more optimism and hope, Anita Demetriou closed her message by calling on citizens to support the Democratic Rally in Sunday’s elections, so that, as she said, “on Monday we can all go forward together responsibly”.

AKEL

With the conclusion of the election period, AKEL Secretary General Stefanos Stefanou sent his message for the parliamentary elections to Cypriot voters, asking for their support for the party to continue defending their rights and needs in Parliament.

“In AKEL we have learned to look you in the eye. So today, as the election cycle closes, we look you in the eye and ask you to support us with your vote. We need your support because only with your support can we defend your rights and needs in Parliament,” he adds: “To continue to fight the battle against punctuality, against the arbitrariness of big interests and incumbents, against inequalities.”

DIKO

Now is the time to protect what we have achieved and build even more, Democratic Party President Nicolas Papadopoulos says in his final election statement.

“Cyprus can and deserves more. More economic growth, more opportunities for our young people, more security for our families, more care for our society,”

“In recent years, our people have proven that when there is stability, boldness and conviction, Cyprus can achieve miracles. Now is the time to protect what we have achieved and build even more,” Nicolas Papadopoulos added.

“What our people need is not misery and despair. It is not flattening and easy slogans. What we need is seriousness, vision and determination,” he says.

“With clear positions, DIKO has been and will remain a force of responsibility for society and for Cyprus. Cyprus has a perspective. Cyprus has a future. Let us secure it. This Sunday we are voting for DIKO,” he concludes.

ELAM

In his final message before the ballot, ELAM President Christos Christou spoke of a time of important decisions for the future of Cyprus.

In a written statement he said that these elections are not only about the persons and political groups that will take over the legislative work in the next five years, but they are about the future of our country, the future of our children, the future of Cyprus itself.

He also noted that “ELAM is not another political experiment”, noting that it is the strength of the people who refused to compromise with the decline, injustice and abandonment of our country.

PPP

The president of the Democratic Party, Marios Karoyan, appealed to citizens to vote responsibly, noting that Cyprus cannot be left “in the hands of opportunists and extreme elements, nor to people with obsessions and flattening concepts, nor to those who profess ignorance and seek to experiment”.

EDC

“This election is more than a political showdown. It is a battle about which Cyprus we want,” said EPP chairman Nikos Anastasiou.

He added that it is time “to raise the flag high again. The time to prove that no one can erase the EDEK from the present and the future of Cyprus.”

The President of the EDEK, in a statement ahead of Sunday’s parliamentary elections, called on the people to judge based on seriousness and political proposals, saying that the EDEK will remain at the forefront of the struggles in the new Parliament.
