US President Donald Trump today welcomed Iran’s announcement on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and took the opportunity to take another swipe at his NATO allies, saying he rejects their offer to help on this issue.
“Now that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz has ended, I received a call from NATO asking if we needed help. I told them to stay away as long as they don’t want to fill their ships with oil. They were useless when we needed them, a paper tiger,” the US president wrote on his Truth Social platform.
