The 12 occupants of a Greek-flagged passenger-tourist vessel, which collided with a private fishing boat with one occupant, in the sea area about one nautical mile off Marina Zeus, are in good health.

According to the Coast Guard – Greek Coast Guard, the fisherman was immediately intercepted by a Coast Guard patrol boat that was in the area and was transported to the Zea Marina in good health. The passenger-tourist vessel sailed independently to the marina, while the fishing boat was completely destroyed.

No marine pollution was observed in the area as a result of the incident.

In order to investigate the circumstances under which the incident occurred, the competent port authorities are taking statements from those involved and are conducting a preliminary investigation.
