Gio Kay and Angeliki Iliadi were invited to compete with a song sung first by Despina Vandi on the new episode of J2US.
When it was time to listen to the judges’ comments, the young rapper was harshly criticised by Stamatis Fassoulis without accepting them, once again reacting strongly.
“I don’t know how you can tell me what is rap and what is not rap. Because I’ve been dealing with rap for so many years, just like you told me that you’ve been dealing with something of yours for so many years.”
“Okay, you can’t tell me that this is not rap. I come in here every week and I’m totally turned off by your shit, you give me a lot of bad energy every time,” the young artist and J2US contestant stressed, among other things.
Suggesting he may even suggest that he should not be present on set during his own performances in the future, Stamatis Fassoulis insisted that the way Gio Kay sang was not rap and he did not understand his words.
Something that was supported, in turn, by Katie Garbi, who stressed the lack of respect that the young contestant had for the show’s jury.
“Why do I come and not hear a good one? Something? Okay, you know… A good evening, a smile… I came here to have a bit of a party, have a bit of a fling and I want to see a bit of a smile.”
“I look at you, Ms Vicky and I feel so much positive energy while I look next to you and I feel like I should cry,” Gio Kay pointed out, alongside the multitude of negative comments he received from the entire J2US jury at this particular live show, completing the very awkward scene.
