There is horror at what is happening in Afghanistan, with unprecedented video coming out of the news of a father who decided to sell his children
As the BBC report reveals, a father of 7-year-old twin girls says he is considering giving them away for marriage or domestic work as he is unable to provide a living for his family members.
“I am ready to sell my daughters. I’m poor, I’m in debt and I’m helpless. I come home hungry, thirsty, desperate and confused. My children come to me and say “daddy give us some bread”. But what can I give them? Where is there somewhere to work?”

“If I sell my one daughter, I can feed my other children for at least 4 years,” he says, justifying his decision.
Then he tears up, noting: “It breaks my heart, but it’s the only way.”
In another similar story highlighted by the BBC, Said Ahmed has already been forced to sell his five-year-old daughter, Saika, after she contracted appendicitis and developed a cyst on her liver.
“I had no money to pay the medical bills. So I sold my daughter to a relative,” she stresses. Saika’s surgery, which was paid for by the 2,700 euros the “buyer” gave, was successful.
