An 18-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested yesterday in Moschato after a chase, with a stolen motorbike.
Specifically, according to the ELAS, at about 9 o’clock in the evening, police officers of the DIA team spotted a motorbike with two riders at the junction of Pindos and Riga Feraiou streets and called them for control. However, the driver of the motorbike did not obey the officers’ orders and picked up speed trying to escape, resulting in a chase of about 500 metres on the streets of the area.
Soon after, the suspects abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot, but officers were able to locate and arrest them.
As it was discovered, the motorcycle had been stolen a few hours earlier from the area of Kallithea.
A case was filed against the two arrested for theft and disobedience.
