Ergin Ataman is now a thing of the past for our country and the Panathinaikos team.
The Turkish coach bid farewell to Greece with a social media post from “Eleftherios Venizelos,” in which he thanked the “Greens” fans, as well as “the Greek people for the love and support they showed me.”
Ataman’s full post:
“During my three years in Greece, I would like to sincerely thank not only the Panathinaikos fans, but also the friendly and brotherly Greek people throughout the country for the love and support they have shown me.
I am leaving with countless wonderful memories and emotions that cannot be expressed in words.
Beyond the successes and trophies we achieved, my greatest source of pride was the opportunity to contribute to the friendship between the Turkish and Greek peoples.
Thank you all, and goodbye.”
