A 3-year-old girl, who was initially transferred to Chania Hospital by her mother on Thursday night, is in a critical but stabilized condition in the Pagni Children’s ICU.
During the medical examination, doctors found that the child had a subdural hematoma, as well as extensive bruising on various parts of her body. Medical personnel were immediately mobilized, with the participation of a pediatric surgeon, to treat his serious medical condition.
After initial stabilization, it was decided to transfer him to the University Hospital of Heraklion, where he continues to be hospitalized under close observation.
At the same time, police authorities are conducting an investigation into the circumstances under which the child was injured, examining all possible possibilities.
