During his visit to the site of a missile attack in the southern city of Arad, Netanyahu called on world leaders to join the joint Israeli-American military campaign against Iran, referring to the recent missile launch by Tehran that targeted the UK and US military base in the Indian Ocean at Diego Garcia over the weekend.

“They launched a ballistic missile at Diego Garcia Island, it’s 4,000 kilometers away. Now they have the capability to reach deep into Europe, they have already opened fire on European countries, Cyprus. They are targeting everyone,” the Israeli Prime Minister said.

“They are blocking an international maritime route, an energy route, and trying to blackmail the whole world,” he added, referring to Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil artery. “It is time to see the leaders of other countries join forces.”

Netanyahu says some countries are beginning to move toward joining the campaign, without specifying which ones or in what capacity, but adds that “more is needed.”

“What more proof do we need to understand that we need to stop this regime that threatens the entire world? Israel and the United States are acting together for the good of the whole world. And it’s time for the leaders of other countries to join us.”

“I’m glad to see that some are starting to move in this direction, but more is needed. President Trump’s call for the international community to confront this terrorist, bigoted, intolerant regime – is a call not just for the security of America and the security of Israel, but for the security of the entire world. And it’s time to act.”
