In a statement reported by Iran’s IRNA news agency, the IRGC claimed that its defense systems hit an Israeli fighter jet flying in Iranian airspace earlier this Saturday morning, the third such incident during the war.
Earlier, the Israeli military had acknowledged that one of its fighter jets came under anti-aircraft fire in Iranian airspace, but said the aircraft detected the threat, suffered no damage and completed its mission “as planned.”
According to the IRGC, its defense forces have struck more than 200 aerial vehicles in Iranian skies during the war – including drones, cruise missiles, refueling aircraft and fighter jets.
