The Criminal Division of the Supreme Court accepted the deputy prosecutor’s motion to overturn the decision of the Misdemeanor Court, which had ordered the release of Alexandros Giotopoulos.

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Konstantinos Tzavellas, ordered a review of the specific decision by the Piraeus Council of Misdemeanors.

Following this new development, Alexandros Giotopoulos is expected to return to prison.
